Preparing for your website build day with 1 Day Web Guy can be really exciting! Now, it’s important to remember our 1 Day Website Accelerator can happen either virtually or in-person so each one is unique in its own right, but here are the overarching deliverables you can expect before and during your build day.
Here’s what happens before the build day:
Kickoff Call
This is where we clarify your goals, audience, get clear on your design preferences, and discuss your website’s must-haves.
Client Homework Packet
After the kickoff call, we will send you a homework packet to gather important information. Some of the information we will gather are your branding (logo, colors, fonts), website copy for each page (don’t worry, we have templates), images, testimonials, and login information.
Site Strategy Outline
This is our homework. We will provide you with a sitemap, suggested page flow, and create calls to action for each page we will create.
Design Inspiration Board (Optional)
We will have you create a shared Pinterest board where you will add design inspiration for style direction.
Tech Setup
We want to make sure we have a working environment setup before the day to ensure hosting, domain, and your WordPress core and plugins are all ready. This will allow us to get started quickly and launch your website faster at the end of your build day.
Here’s what to expect on the day of your 1 Day website intensive:
Morning
We get started with a 15-30 minute strategy review and kickoff meeting, then we head straight to building the core site structure and styling. Next, we will tackle the homepage layout and send it for design approval before lunch.
Midday
We will have the homepage design approved and move on to building secondary pages like your about page, services page, and contact page. We will also begin adding your website’s copy and images to each page.
Afternoon
We will integrate your key features like your forms, calendar integration, email opt-ins, and get your SEO set up for best practices. In tandem with all that, we will be optimizing your site for mobile use and have you setup your legal pages through our partner, Termageddon.
End of Day
We will do a final walkthrough of the website and get feedback to make real-time revisions and tweaks. We will push the site live and provide a training video and resource library for you to manage your website.

Post-Day Tweaks
We will allow one round of revisions and tweaks within 7 days of your build day.
Website Owners Manual
We will provide you with a simple PDF covering how to edit pages, add blog posts, and maintain your website.
Launch Assets
We will provide you with graphics and captions to announce the launch of your new site on social media.
Optional Add-Ons
If you wish to continue working with us, which we hope you do, we have additional services to provide.
We offer a monthly care plan to update your website and take care of the maintenance. We have multiple levels that include different levels of access and attention.
