SEO is how you get found online. SEO stands for search engine optimization but nowadays, I like to look at it as “search everywhere optimization” because whether you like it or not, people are searching way beyond just search engines.
If you want to be found online at all, you will need basic SEO at the bare minimum. Something we do with our clients is set their site up for SEO best practices when we launch it so they can hire someone, whether it’s us or someone else, to help increase their search engine rankings.
SEO matters because organic marketing (where people find you organically, and not through a paid channel) is one of the best, and most scalable marketing channels.
You can increase your rankings just by being helpful to your customers. We like to answer questions on our blog that customers are asking. That way, when someone searches something like, “what is SEO and why does it matter?”, we might have a chance to pop up on Google or Chat GPT.
